I work online or over the phone.
Availability
My working hours are Monday-Thursday daytime and Monday and Tuesday evenings. Please get in touch for my current availability.
What happens after contacting me?
I will email you back and arrange a time for us to have an initial conversation. There is no charge for this. I will take some personal details and we can talk briefly about some of the reasons you are considering counselling, when and where we are both available to meet, and I can answer any questions or concerns you may have. This gives us both a chance to get to know each other a little and decide if we would like to work together. Either during or after the phone call you can decide whether you would like to continue with counselling and we can arrange a date and location for the first session.
What happens at the first session?
If there’s any paperwork we haven’t completed over email we can finish that off before we start. I will hold a safe space where you can talk about what it is you want to talk about. From this, we can build a therapeutic relationship where we can build up trust and you can process what you need to. After 50 minutes we finish and if you wish you can book more sessions.
Accessibility
Having video on during sessions helps me connect with you, but if you prefer we can work using voice only. You are welcome to use stim toys or to do other activities during the session. Please let me know if there is anything that would make the session more accessible for you.
